BuddyMarks is a social bookmarking website. The nice thing about how BuddyMarks delivers the bookmarks is they categorized but on a single page. Other sites do not categorize or categorize by each page. Also, they provide a RSS feed of bookmarks which is nice and the categories are collapsed so all the bookmarks can be placed in the feed.
Using the many social bookmarking sites get dense after awhile. It is hard to come up with one that is better than another. Some shine here others there, and the ones that do what online guys like me want more than anything, get traffic, are hard to crack. So, after awhile they begin to blend. And unlike content sites, it is hard to make a theme of a bookmark site. Not that it is hard, but that it just does not make sense. Unless, one believes that groups of like minded links are important, which a case could made for that.
So, I place my links and move on. It is fun to review what I have placed, because sometimes there are good things out there I had forgotten. Other times I just see a certain phase I was in when I see a grouping of common links. Also, as time goes on some sites decide to go nofollow. Sad, but true and that is when I opt to stop using that site. I leave my links because I figure they still help the page get crawled, just no juice. So, for each one that fails or goes nofollow, a dofollow pops up somewhere. Less page rank, but hopefully with some link juice.
