A1-Webmarks is another social networking bookmarking site. There is a XRiot A1-Webmarks bookmarks page. A1-Webmarks opts to use a more sparse method of delivering bookmarks on site, which is fine as the main factor is to get some link juice happening for your sites. However, they do have a toolbar button which makes linking pretty easy. It uses a redirect form of submitting but typically just reviewing the title and adding a tag is all that is needed. It is quick to add a bookmark to your list.
With 2010 coming up been reflecting that the Internet is easily ten years old. I know, I know, the Internet was birthed in the 1980’s and the World Wide Web came with the Mosaic browser in 1994 and HTML protocols set in 1992. What I was reflecting on was that web adoption, it becoming part of American life happened sometime pre-Y2K. The most interesting thing is that not much has changed. Some web site have come other have gone, but I used Yahoo email and Amazon in 1999. Maybe Google wasn’t a term but there were plenty of search engines to get some information.
The only big difference is that social sites have sprung up. It took me awhile to grasp what Web 2.0 was. Finally figured out that it was not a new protocol or language but an idea of Internet community. Nothing new, just new lingo. MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, and now Twitter. The funny thing is Twitter uses the same technology used for a 1995 chatroom. Now, it’s a big thing.
