The most prolific and arguably the most powerful form of marketing is one’s business card. Every business professional needs a business card so people can make contact with them. There are all manners and styles one can use for their business card from the very full and ornate to the simple and minimalist. However, my opinion is that a business card must stand out. The measure of a good business card is when it is handed to somebody that they make a comment about the card. Then one can know that the business card is unique enough. To achieve this it doesn’t take fancy graphics but a bit of creativity. That could be a matter of adding a unique catchphrase or playing with one’s title.

One good tip when passing over a business card is to personalize it in some manner. One good technique is to purposefully leave off the cell phone number on the business card. This gives an opportunity to write the number on the back of the card, making the card more valuable to the recipient. Not only was there time taken to write something additional on the card, but also something perceived as personal was conveyed.
