I reckon everyone has that special indulgence that sparks an interest. Even the most jaded and pronounced denunciator of materialism probably has that one thing that drives them to a minimalist existence. Then there are the hedonists that just want every indulgence and excess in any form – cars, jewelry, homes, travel, etc. The whole rap star package.
Myself, am more of a Warren Buffett or Sam Walton fan. Like the idea of success but not necessarily giving in to the desire to display or revel in it. But as to that one thing, mine would be private jet travel. Really, it is not the idea of owning a private jet or even necessarily traveling on a private aircraft for every trip, but just to experience it. It is an extension of flying first class, the next step. So, while others can indulge in McMansions, SUV’s, bling, etc. My secret indulgence would be a private jet trip.
